It’s My First Class—What Do I Need to Know?

We’re excited to have you in your first Reformer Pilates class! Here’s what you should know:

    • Arrive Early: Generally we ask people to arrive about 5 minutes before sessions, but if it is your first session, please try to arrive 10-15 minutes before your class starts. This gives us time to introduce you to the studio and the Reformer bed so you’re ready to jump in and make the most of your session.

    • Bring Socks: Grip socks are recommended as you will feel secure and able to work to your optimium during exercises. If you don’t have any, don’t worry—we always have a clean pairs we can loan you.

    • Stay Hydrated: Bring a water bottle with you. We have filtered water stations at both studios where you can refill as needed.

We’re here to make your first experience with Refrm Pilates smooth, fun, and rewarding!

Are the classes suitable for people of all ages?

You have to be 16 years old to attend classes with us (if you are younger you can still attend, but you must be accompanied by an adult). Joseph Pilates and his wife Clara continued practising regular pilates into their eighties. So the short answer is, NO, we certainly have no maximum age limit, if you are able to get up and down from the ground without help and have a good range of mobility, we can adjust our classes to accommodate you.

  • Is there a safe space to store my belongings?

Yes, we have a large open studio and you are welcome to bring a back and other item you may need for the session. We have plenty of secure space to place your belongings during your session.

    Do You Have Changing Rooms?

Our Stevenage studio does not have any dedicated changing facilities so please come changed and ready to exercise. We do have toilets, so you will NOT need to keep your legs crossed!

Do You Have Water, or Should I Bring My Own?

We have fresh water in jugs available at every session for your convenience. Please bring your own bottle to fill up and stay hydrated during your workout. Please also remember to take your water bottle home, because we are starting to build up quite a collection of ones that have been forgotten!

    Do You Offer Private Classes?

Yes we do. If you’re interested in booking a private class or organising a corporate event, please reach out to the studio either in person or via email. We’d be happy to arrange something tailored just for you.

  • Parking

Just a quick reminder to please park respectfully on our driveway when you arrive for your session. We’ve got enough space for everyone if we all park considerately, and the parking here is easy and free. Please do not park on the road outside the house or on our grass verge. If you do, we may have to ask you to repark your car, which could delay the start of the class for everyone. Thanks so much for your cooperation!

How Do I Book a Class?

Booking your class is easy. You can book up to 2 weeks. The best way to book your sessions is through our website or better still, our Refrm app. If you struggle with modern technology, please feel free to call or visit our studio and we'll be very happy to help you. The best number if 07590 075596, and this will take you through to Emma.

If you’re a regular, we recommend arriving 5 minutes before the class starts to ensure we kick off on time. For your first class, please arrive 10-15 minutes early. This will give you time to meet your instructor, get acquainted with the studio, and get comfortable with our Reformer beds.

    What If I’m Running Late?

For health and safety reasons, we cannot allow entry if you’re more than 10 minutes late. Additionally, if there’s a waitlist and you’re more than 10 minutes late, we may give your spot to another client.

    Can I Cancel My Class?

Yes, you can cancel your class via the app or by contacting the studio directly. We have a 12-hour cancellation policy to give others the chance to take your spot. Please be aware that if you cancel your session with less that 12 hours notice you may lose your class credit.

Plus, they’re a great way to ward off colds, or at the very least, to impress your friends with your commitment to healthy living.
